Our hostel was in Sorrento. It was a really nice hostel - even nicer than the others we have stayed in. It was called the Seven Hostel. Every room had a name that started with an "S". Our room was "Style". I just thought that was funny. There were some great views from the roof top of the hostel. We hung out there a lot during the evenings.
Island of Capri was absolutely gorgeous, but the pictures don't even do it justice. We had to take two ferries and a private boat to get to the island. We walked a bunch of stairs to get to the sandal maker, chocolate tasting, and limoncello tasting. Then, we took a chair lift to the very top of Anacapri (the name of the actual town on the island). I loved the chair lift. I wasn't expecting it to go so high. There weren't even trees around me at some points. Talk about wife open spaces. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking. See for yourself :)
In the Blue Grotto
Lunch was some sort of seafood pasta. I was sort of creeped out by how yellow it was, but it was actually pretty good. Vince kept smelling it. He's very picky about his food.
Vince and I had a staring contest with a seagull. Joey kept trying to feed it nuts which it didn't like.
We went to a bar/club in the town of Sorrento to watch the opening ceremonies of the summer olympics. We met some interesting people there. It was a nice outdoor English Pub place. Very fun atmosphere!
Saturday we took a bus ride and a super long walk down to the beach at Positano. The beach was rocky just like Capri except the rocks were very dark. I could have scrambled some eggs on top of those rocks. They were so hot!
We went cliff jumping and cave swimming while at Positano. I really liked the cave swimming. It was such a neat experience and the water was the perfect blue! I wish I could have gotten pictures of that, but I didn't want to get my camera wet.

There were some great artists on the beach in Positano. Ashton and Carlie both bought a piece of artwork to take home with them. That's a really neat gift. I should have thought of that earlier before I bought a bunch of stuff. Even though the paintings are kind of pricy, they are worth it!
We went to pompeii today and had a tour. My tour guide was kind of odd. He kept talking about brothels and stones in the shape of a penis. It was very weird. Other than that, looking at the ruins was very cool. I was surprised to hear that this city was destroyed by ash only - not lava. I hadn't expected that!
Sorry this post was so short and choppy. I've been so busy. I'll try to go back and add some stuff in later this week. Venice tomorrow!

Congrats for the positive and colorful photos! Really glad that you spent there such a great time.
