We went to a place called House of Sizzle for Taco Tuesday. The tacos were surprisingly delicious. Wednesday was the fourth of july, and we didn't have class. Madison, Darcy, and I went to Bologna for a few hours. We walked around the main piazza and took some pictures. We mainly went for the food though. I had tortelloni with pomodoro sauce. The tortelloni was like large tortellini. Darcy got the famous Bolognese sauce on her pasta. Lunch was amazing! We got gelato afterwards as well. I got banana pudding and coconut (two separate flavors). The gelato in Florence is probably the best consistency, but I like the flavors in Bologna that I got. Wednesday night we celebrated fourth of July by going to this place called Astor that had an American buffet. They had hot dogs, hamburgers, corn, pasta salad, fries. Yum! We've been craving a burger for weeks now. I was stuffed. Afterwards, we went to Mallorie's apartment and hung out on the patio. Her apartment is huge. It's not fair how different the apartments are. She obviously got a better deal. We listened to every patriotic song imaginable while we were there, and then we bounced around at a few clubs. Thursday I had class. My food writing teacher was upset that I hadn't read all the articles she gave me. Nobody in my class had. It's one thing is the readings really related to what we've been talking about, but they don't. She basically just makes us read whatever her favorite articles are. Maybe one paragraph pertains to what we are learning. Each article is 20 pages. Sorry, I have a life. I know I'm getting school credit for this class, but she can at least give us more writing assignments then. Reading fluff is a waste of my time. Sorry, I'm just babbling. But, it really makes me mad. For my advertising class, we sat in on a wine class. It was really boring. She spoke pretty bad English so it was hard getting notes down. I did get to taste some wine though! Last night was the first night I've really just hung out. I went to bed at 10:30! Today, we are going to Pisa for a few hours and then I'm flying out of Pisa for Barcelona, Spain. I'll be in Barcelona for the weekend. I don't know if I'll have wifi in Barcelona, so my next posting probably won't be until Tuesday. I'm so excited! I've never been to Spain before. We all laugh when we're sitting at dinner and we're like "I think I'm going to go to Croatia next weekend. Oh, I'm going to Prague, sorry. How bout Interlaken, Switzerland the weekend after?" Yeah, I get to talk like that. It's sounds weird, but hey, how awesome is that? I think I'm going to Croatia next weekend, then Interlaken, Switzerland, and then Amalfi Coast. We have some wednesdays off, so I'm going to do a day trip to Venice one time and then Verona another time. Most people have been doing a lot of day trips to places in Italy, so I guess I will as well. I hope everyone is enjoying their summers back at home! I miss all of you so much. I was a little homesick this week :(
